For those who have no idea who Musixmatch are and what they do, they provide the lyrics for the major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Shazam, Google, Instagram, Tidal, Vevo and Microsoft Bing.

I love lyrics! The message in the music! The ability to speak for us when we just don't have the words. Lyrics that lift us when we're down, and calm and comfort us through tough times.

I take my responsibility and work seriously in this role. So if you have a problem with your lyrics please let me know! As always with any large corporation or organisation sadly there are some which are just in it for the money, and don't care about the quality of the work they produce. This can result in mistakes being made, missing or incorrect lyrics, people getting upset and angry, and then write off the company/organisation based on the actions of one person, which just is not right. Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone has bad days, none of us are perfect so we must stop pointing blame at others when quite often it's partly our fault for not making it clear in our communication when there was a problem.

Sometimes words we think we hear are not in fact the words that are being said. This is the difficulty when working with the beautiful variety of languages from all over the world. Always be mindful that techinical errors occur, tech systems fail sometimes (it's not magic it's science) and the most problems ultimately are caused by people not the system through lack of understanding, training, management and just a little bit of patience.
